How to find your current desktop background image on Windows

Have you ever changed your desktop background image on Windows, deleted the original image, and suddenly need the original image back? If so don't worry getting it back is entirely possible, See below on how to do it.

How to find your current desktop background image on Windows

Firstly we are going to navigate to a certain directory where Windows stores its currently used desktop background image to do this hold Windows key + R and a little box should show up called "Run" in the run box type the text in the image below into it and press enter it should take you to the directory shown below.


C > Users > youruserlocation > Appdata > Roaming > Microsoft > Windows > Themes

Explorer should open up containing 3 files/folders don't worry if more or less show up it's entirely normal for Windows to leave files behind there should be a file called "TranscodedWallpaper" copy this somewhere else as we don't want to break anything.
